Von fritierten Bananas ueber Path Thai zum Bungalow

Nach zwei Naechten in der Hauptstadt von Thailand und schwarzen Lungen, haben wir am Bahnhof zwei Tickets in Richtung Sueden geloest. Warum Sueden?

Weil es da auch regnet!

Nun es war sicherlich keine schlechte Entscheidung, da in Bangkok die Soldaten einzogen und es im Norden doch noch etwas mehr regnete;-)

Wir fuhren von Prachuap Khiri Khan nach Chumphon und trafen neben James (siehe Foto) auf viele Naturschoenheiten und schoene, muffige, schmudelige, romantische Schlafstaetten. Alle einsam und verlassen, da es in der Regensaison wirklich kaum jemanden an diese wunderschoenen Straende zieht.

Wir sind dem Bullen durch den Tschungel gefolgt, der zwei ahnungslose deutsche Touristen, die mit dem Taxi dort abgeliefert wurden (fuer nicht ganz billige 800Bath, man Vergleiche eine guenstige Unterkunft kostet uns 200Bath) an einen schoenen Wasserfall transportierte. Der dann aber fuer die Maedels nicht zum schwimmen sicher genug war und sie wieder zurueckritten. Wir genossen den Trip wahrscheinlich mehr und freuten uns ueber die elephantoese Begleitung!

Lustig ist es dann doch wenn die Hotels bei unserem Nachfragen schon voll ausgebucht sind, man aber kein Schw…. Sieht oder hoert!!!!! Nun es liegt dabei wohl eher bei Kommunikations Schwierigkeiten als bei Schwindeleien. Die Thais sind bis jetzt wirklich sehr nett zu uns Velofahrern und bewundern uns. Denn hier gibt es keum mehr jemanden unterwegs zu Fuss oder mit einem Fahrrad. Alles was geleast warden kann wird. Jeder faehrt Pickup und/oder einen Roller. Auf den Pickup passen bis zu 15Thais und auf ein Moped !!! unglaublich was sie alles aufladen koennen. Kinder fahren schon als Babys mit und spaetestens mit zwei Jahren steuern sie schon und mit fuenf fahren sie die erste Freundin aus;-)

Nun die Zeit so am Compi vergeht enorm schnell und ich habe noch lange nicht das geschrieben was wir nur schon heute am kleinen Staudamm beim Schwumm im eiskalten Wasser, beim pirschen auf einem schmalen Pfad durch Bambus und co, beim Kampf gegen die laestigen blutsaugenden Ungeheuer (Leeches) und beim sensationellen Schmaus beim Muselman erlebt habe!

Open minds and open doors

When I went on cycling alone without travel guide I could see realy behind many things in Thailand. First I asked the way and half an hour later a pick up (there are only picl ups in this land since isuzu is challenging toyota;-) and lifted my bike on the back and brought me to the police station. there lovely men finishid their soccer game and gave me a room to rest and invited me for breakfast and draw me  a great map.

after in the nationalparc in Khao Yai i got invited by all hundrets thais camping around me, because they are interested in speaking english, learn some news things or just being polite... So i spent one trip with three guys they picked me up when i tried to push my bike on a hill, kayaking on a nice lake to nica waterfalls and had great picnic on the back of the pick up during the ride there! others took me at 5am on a hill in the parc to watch the sunrise and others just made sure i eat enough!!!!

after on my way further to the Laos boarder i got invited from english teachers to their homes where we practised (normaly the english

teacher speak not more then hello, how are you? whats your name...) twice i spent also time in their school to see how they teach and how the school is organised. Very interesting and a little bit different then in switzerland but the SAME problem with the lazy nuty stundents;-))))

 travelling around i realised anyway, that i'm not better than any one of my students i had! the more people are telling me no you can't, no you shouldn't, no there is no way to go there: I GO!!!

Thats me and thats way i can make the great experiances i do. then i mix now my knowledge of map, orientation, my power and the road situation with the infos from only lao, thai or vietnames speaking people and had never to turn back the same way i came.
